Welcome to Mice!
The children in this class are in Reception. Our teacher is Mrs O'Callaghan . The children have specialist PE and music sessions every Tuesday afternoon with Mrs Horton and Mr Melville.
We have a lovely classroom with our own outdoor area. Each week we participate in Welly Wednesday in our wooded area with shelter, fire pit and poly tunnel with our forest school teacher Russell. We follow the EYFS framework and strive to ensure that the children develop a lifelong love of learning, a healthy curiosity and the ability to ask questions through the freedom of choice and exploration. Throughout the year we visit Stelling Farm as part of our Farm School programme.
We recognise the importance of social, emotional and physical development and ensure that each child is supported to become independent and confident through a combination of teacher and child led learning.
We have strong links with Stelling church and Upper Hardres church and encourage parents to join us through the year at worship, assemblies, information events and themed activities in the classroom.
