Our writing curriculum at Stelling Minnis is carefully interwoven with our reading curriculum. Our writing curriculum combines phonics handwriting, composition and grammar, punctuation and spelling.

Writing for purpose is incredibly important to us which is why our enrichment and opportunities for the children to shine is an important part of our curriculum design. Whether writing to inform, instruct, explain or persuade- we give lots of experiences and book immersion for the children to write about ! Genres are repeated with increasing skill to create confident writers.
