Computing

Computing shines brightly at Stelling Minnis

At Stelling Minnis CE Primary School, our Computing curriculum is delivered through the Twinkl scheme of learning, providing a carefully structured and progressive approach that develops pupils’ knowledge, skills and confidence in an ever-changing digital world.

Through a range of engaging and practical lessons, pupils learn key aspects of computing including programming, digital literacy, information technology and data handling, enabling them to create, problem-solve and express their ideas using technology. A strong emphasis is placed on preparing children to become confident, responsible and creative users of technology, able to understand how systems work and apply their skills in meaningful contexts.

Online safety is a key, recurring theme throughout the curriculum. Pupils are taught how to use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly, how to protect their personal information, and where to seek help if they have concerns, ensuring they can navigate the digital world with confidence. More information on support with online safety can be found here Stelling Minnis CE Primary School - Online Safety for Parents
