Science

At Stelling Minnis, we nurture confident, curious learners who think, question, and explore like scientists. We provide a rich and engaging science curriculum built on the Kent Primary Science Scheme of Work, ensuring clear progression in both knowledge and skills. 

Science is taught through hands-on, practical experiences, enabling pupils to explore, investigate and develop a deep understanding of the world around them. Through carefully planned lessons, children are encouraged to be curious, ask questions and learn through discovery. 

A strong emphasis is placed on developing science enquiry skills (working scientifically). Pupils learn to ask questions, make predictions, carry out investigations, observe and measure, record results and draw conclusions as well as learning about the work of real life scientists.
