PSHE

PSHE shines brightly at Stelling Minnis
At Stelling Minnis CE Primary School, our PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) curriculum is rooted in our school values. Set within a close‑knit rural village, our school provides a supportive environment where children learn how to understand themselves, build positive relationships and contribute thoughtfully to the world around them.

We make meaningful links to everyday life in our school and village, helping children explore themes such as friendship, respect, responsibility and belonging. Pupils learn how to manage their emotions, make safe and healthy choices, and understand how their actions can impact others—both within their local community and beyond.

Our PSHE curriculum is carefully sequenced and progressive, ensuring children build secure knowledge, skills and vocabulary in line with the National Curriculum and statutory guidance. Learning is designed to help pupils know more, remember more and apply their understanding in real‑life situations. Through discussion, reflection and age‑appropriate enquiry, children develop resilience, empathy and confidence—nurturing the curiosity, courage and compassion that sit at the heart of our school values.
